Thoughts on Leaks?
Anthony Fantano recently released a video reviewing the leaked version of Kanye's planned upcoming album "Yandhi." The leaked version is extremely unfinished, with many verses not even containing real words (just placeholder sounds to get a flow down).
The big concern when it comes to leaking music is that the artist will decide to scrap the entire project because the public has already "heard" the songs. This is especially true when you consider an unfinished project like this because there's still so much work to do and so much room left in the creative process. I really hope that doesn't happen in this situation because some of these demo tracks are incredible and it would be a crying shame if we never got to hear their full potential.
What are your thoughts on leaked music? Should people listen to it or not? When prominent people in the industry like Anthony Fantano bring light to leaks does it help or hurt? Curious what you all think..
Here's his review if you wanna check it out:
Danny how you feel?
🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻😂
Country roads
Almost heaven, West Virginia
Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
All my memories gather round her
Miner's lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
I hear her voice, in the morning hour she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
And driving down the road I get a feeling
That I should have been home yesterday, yesterday
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
Take me home, down country roads
Take me home, down country roads

Song of the Week (8/12) - I Won't Complain (Benjamin Clementine)
This week's #SotW features Benjamin Clementine, a singer-songwriter and pianist based out of London. Benjamin Clementine almost always features piano as the primary instrument which compliments his deep voice and soulful artistry. I Won't Complain is a dark, somber song yet it manages to find hope in its melancholy.
i love you

What do you guys think?
As some of you may know, Slipknot recently released a new album called "We are not your kind". I have only listened one song from the album called "Unsainted" and its the first song I ever heard from Slipknot and its pretty nice. But what do you guys think of it? Do you like it or think its total garbage? Btw I'm not doing this with every new album 😂
Oblivious Music Collection • Vol. 3
This time it starts with largely dance focused music and goes from there. I love the grooves and beats, and so should you.

• Jain - Makeba •
You’ve probably heard this one in a TV commercial or show, but it’s a damn good song. The song honors and references the legendary South African musician and activist Miriam Makeba, also known as Mama Africa.

• Enur - Calabria 2007 ft. Natasja •
This song, named after the Calabria region of Italy, got an updated remix in 2007 featuring the vocals of Danish rapper and reggae artist Natasja Saad. The bad part? The song’s popularity skyrocketed in late 2007, some months after Natasja died in a car accident in Jamaica.

• Alice Merton - No Roots •
"I got to a point where I was feeling quite lost. So I decided to write a song that would make me feel better", Alice Merton said in an interview. Throughout her life she had always moved from place to place, living a more nomadic lifestyle with no home ties to a single location - she had moved 12 times over the course of 24 years.

• Dennis Lloyd - Nevermind •
This one is pretty much about pursuing a real relationship, with our very human complications. But listen to him break it down here, if you’re interested: https://genius.com/videos/Dennis-lloyd-breaks-down-nevermind

• Marian Hill - Down •
You probably know this one from the Apple commercial that significantly boosted its popularity, but another great song. Just enjoy!

Running Dry...
I've been running super dry on music recently and I'm looking for some music recommendations. I'm not too picky with my music but there are something's I dislike so I'll just give y'all a rundown on what I do listen to so y'all have an idea.
I'm really into metal, rock and country. This encompasses all kinds of metal, rock and country. I have been listening to a lot of Halestorm, In This Moment, Disturbed, Metallica, Guns n Roses, Kiss, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Sabaton, Joan Jett, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Bryan Gilbert and Johnny Cash.
I'm also into Rap and Pop but to a lesser extent. I'm not a huge fan of rap to the point where I listen to it on a daily basis same with pop. I mostly listen to older artists like OutKast, Eminem, Biggie, Tupac, Britney Spears, Destiny Child, Bonnie Tyler, Whitney Houston, Selena (not Selena Gomez) and Fergie.
I'm less into trap music a majority of my trap music is Spanish music. I'm not sure how many of y'all know about it but I'm into Maluma and Bad Bunny that's about it lol.
So yeah any recommendations are welcome and thank you in advance for any and all recommendations 🙂🙃🙂

I’ve been an avid follower of this guy when he was a lot smaller and i’ll tell you right now i haven’t heard a single song by this guy that was anywhere close to being bad. This masterpiece of a song was a year in the making and it just released yesterday. It resonates with me so well and i’m absolutely in love with it.

Chester Bennington, Gone But Never Forgotten
It's crazy that we lost such an amazing music legend. Lead singer of Linkin Park, Chester Bennington, passed on this day two years ago. His music has touched others for a very long time and it will continue to do so as time goes on. You will always will be remembered!
Making Music
ok, ok... soooo, I had started to write a Saxophone Quartet medley of The Muppet Show a while back... one thing lead to another aaaand I kinda forgot about it....Then #Duckslilartcontest rolled around and I am like, what in the world do I enter. I could of entered something I had already finished, but I thought that seemed cheap, I wanted to make something special for this. Looking through the files on my PC, I find an unfinished music piece, this piece, and I knew what I had to do. A little over 30 hours of work later, I bring you this...
(Link to listen to the piece)
This 11 page piece starts with Rainbow Connection, bouncing between Tenor and Alto saxophones for the main melody, then leading into Mahna Mahna, featuring several Bari Sax solos. Finally ending with the main theme, featuring a crescendous soprano sax solo to bring everything to a close.
- I would like to give s special shout out to Seymour and Samantha my Alto and Soprano saxophones, respectively
Oh and if you want to know what my 11ish pages of sheet music look like...
(I currently don't have access to a Tenor or Bari sax, so I have used a Simulated program for the Instruments)
Legal disclaimer - I do not hold the rights to any of the original pieces but created my medley under fair use and Creative Commons agreements. All credits to the respective creators.

If you haven't heard this album from start to finish I would definitely recommend it. I get ghostemane's music isn't for everyone but give it a try with an open mind and you might like it 🖤
Some of the highlights for me on that album are the songs:
Flesh
The singularity
Bonesaw
Black blood
To be honest I love every song on this album though. One of my favorite albums of all time ☿️

Song of the Week (7/29) - Just What I Am (Kid Cudi ft. King Chip)
This week's #SotW features one of the most prominent rappers of the past decade, Kid Cudi. Following a period of disconnect and a break from music, Just What I Am served as Kid Cudi's triumphant artistic return. Featuring one of his longtime friends in King Chip, Kid Cudi reflects on stress, success, and where he's come from with lyrics like "thinking 'bout all my old friends who weren't my friends all along."

Roddy - Djo (Joe Keery/ Steve Harrington)
Yesterday Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) from Stranger Things, released a song, and I couldn't help but fall in love with it immediately. This genre of music isn't too popular, I don't even listen to this genre all too much either, but recently I've been listening to a lot of it.
