I know you are all really freaked out right now. I am too. And while I’m proud that we’re all doing the necessary things at the moment to help flatten the curve, I know it has left us all incredibly isolated.

But because we’re all going through this nightmare together we are quite literally NOT alone. Our lives and stories are all linked, maybe more now than they have ever been.

Be it with DCFC, Postal Service, or solo I have always been grateful for the honor you have bestowed upon us by choosing to congregate en masse around our music. Some of you have traveled great distances and/or shelled out large sums of money to see us play and that has never been lost on me. So in this crazy and unprecedented time, I’d like to return the favor by coming to YOU.

For the next few weeks I will be playing songs everyday from my home studio. We will be streaming on YouTube at 4pm PST daily. We’re still working out the details but I’m hoping to take some requests and maybe even have a guest or two stop by digitally. The first show will be tomorrow. It will assuredly be a little wonky and glitchy but we’re gonna do our best.

Song of the Week (3/16) - Ready To Let Go (Cage the Elephant)

This week's #SotW features indie rock band Cage the Elephant. Cage the Elephant first burst onto the scene in 2008 with their hit Ain't no Rest for the Wicked and have since spent the last 12 years topping the charts with hit after hit. Ready To Let Go is the lead single off Cage the Elephant's Grammy-winning album from last year, Social Cues.

Eternal Atake review pt1

I’m disappointed in Uzi here. Don’t get me wrong, Uzi is good (one of my fav rappers). This doesn’t even come close to how good Luv Is Rage 2 (deluxe) was.

P2- clearly a XO Tour Llif3 spin off. Shows very little emotion and his voice sounds dead (for the most part). Really unoriginal. 2/10

Baby Pluto- not a bad song. Sounds kinda like a Playboi Carti song but you can hear the lyrics clearly and much faster. 8.5/10

Lo Mein- could be better. Would be a decent song if it was a bit slower. Parts of it sound like a Pop Smoke song. Nothing else to be said. 6/10

Silly Watch- 2nd worst song in the album. Deader than P2. 1/10 🤢

This week's #SotW features one of the most enigmatic and well-respected rappers of all time, MF DOOM. Known for his supervillain persona, Hoe Cakes comes off the album Mm Food which is heavily laced with food-based metaphors. Safe to say this song is super!
