Kalvin Phillips is someone who has benefited greatly from Bielsa's presence at Leeds. The midfielder was always searching for a clear role since making his first-team debut in 2015, and the Argentine was the one who completely transformed his game.
Phillips had often been viewed as an attacking-based midfielder at Elland Road. However, Bielsa utilised him in defensive midfield; providing security to the defence while contributing lớn attack by starting moves through the middle of the pitch.
