Difference between Atk/s and DMG???

Hey does anyone understand the difference between dmg and atk/s on equipment??? I don’t really understand the difference

Atk/s means how fast your character is attacking in one second. Damage is the how much output they’re dealing in 1 hit. With more dmg they’ll hit harder but with atk/s they’ll attack faster
