The Daily Moot: Amazon Luna
News Picks1. Amazon Luna

Amazon has officially announced their new cloud game streaming service Luna. Similar to Google’s Stadia, Microsoft’s xCloud, and Nvidia’s GeForce Now, Amazon’s Luna will enable users to play games remotely from a variety of devices. Luna will be available for a $5 monthly subscription and will be compatible with PC, Mac, Fire TV, and iPhone, with Android compatibility set to arrive shortly after launch. Amazon has also partnered with Ubisoft to bring all new Ubisoft titles to Luna on release day, meaning that players could enjoy upcoming games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on their 4K TV or mobile phone. No release date for Luna has been announced yet, but Amazon says that interested users who live in the US can request early access starting today.
2. Among Us 2 Cancelled Among Us 2 has been cancelled. This news comes just one month after the sequel to the “multiplayer space mystery” game was first announced. Fortunately, it seems that Innersloth Studios has a good reason for cancelling the project, with the team explaining, “We have decided to instead put all our focus into improving Among Us 1. All of the content we had planned for Among Us 2 will instead go into Among Us 1.” While this seems like good news, it also sounds like it will be a lengthy, difficult process as the existing code has been derided as “outdated and not built to support adding so much new content.”
3. Epic Freebies Another week of freebies from Epic Games is here. This week’s free game is Roller Coaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition. You can grab your free copy directly from the Epic Games Store from now until October 1. As long as you claim the game by October 1, it will stay in your library forever. https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/free-games
4. Spellbreak Hits 5 Million Players Spellbreak, the free-to-play battle royale from Proletariat Studios, has now reached 5 million total players. Spellbreak launched just 3 weeks ago which makes this a significant accolade, especially considering the overwhelming abundance of battle royales on the market today. Unlike most battle royales, however, Spellbreak incorporates RPG and roguelike elements and features class-based, arcane-themed gameplay mechanics. If you want to contribute to increasing the number beyond 5 million, you can play Spellbreak for free on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
5. Blizzard Co-Founder Opens New Studio Blizzard co-founder and ex-CEO Mike Morhaime has announced that he is starting a new game company called Dreamhaven. Dreamhaven will initially consist of 2 internal development studios, Moonshot and Secret Door, which will each focus on their own individual projects. Moonshot will be headed by Jason Hayes, who previously worked as Blizzard’s executive producer on games like Hearthstone and Starcraft 2, while Secret Door will be led by Chris Sigtay, who was the lead producer for Heroes of the Storm and the original Warcraft 3. While these 2 studios will no doubt be getting plenty of attention due to the big names involved, Dreamhaven is also set to expand in the near future with efforts to provide funding and guidance to new game studios which can open under the Dreamhaven umbrella.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 for free? Makes up for that CD I lost a long time ago...
I’m glad about Among Us because I just got the game and it would be nice to see the changes without buying a new game

I might have to try Luna...
Smart call by Innersloth Studios tbh. Focus on the now and make this amazing game even better, just like what Overwatch and GTA 5 have been doing
who knows?
