Question to devs: Bride Hildr 'nerf', intended?

Dear DC devs,   I have been a long time player and I really do enjoy the game. I've been lurking on reddit and here for ages but today is my first post.   I have been looking forward to this Dark Ragna since I have finally made my Bride Hildr +6 and was about to ignite her to lv12 with a nice CRIT core [AMP CRIT/AMP AGL/AMP ATK ]. I held back a bit, and it paid off, not in the way I expected though:   I have just discovered while playing that Hephaestus disables the FOCUS buff, which is the UNIQUE forte of Bride Hildr as a Light raid unit.   It has been a thing as of late to make raid bosses 'immune' to the FOCUS buff by outright preventing your units from getting it, but considering how few units have this ability (only Bride Hildr and Cleopatra come to mind, as Maid Sytry's tap has been nerfed *cough* changed), the sole conclusion to which I can come is that:   1) this feature has been deemed too powerfull 2) the removal of said feature will force players to spend to get the new Titania or any other 6-sliders - regardless of the fact that their 6-hits slides will hit as hard as a FOCUS'ed boosted Fever, or at least quite close to without even needing the long charging time.   So yes, I mean no, I am not happy with the decision of nerfing indirectly the very feature of a unit SPECIALISED in the content she is supposed to shine. I find this case different from WB becoming immune to ALLURE (and soon enough, ELECTROCUTION) which, I will let it slide (haha) as an unforeseen usage from the devs.   So what next? With each new Raid Boss, come new challenges and nasty debuffs, I can understand, but immunities against specialised Raid units feels a cheap move to force people to pull for the new banner child. It seems even more the case with the coming of Ragna Burst.   Powercreeping is a thing, I do understand, but rendering some units MOOT *wink* for the content they are supposed to be good at, feels very unfair.   Sorry for this long rant. I'm going to save some ressources thanks to this 'smart' decision of yours - but I would not mind if you could remove that FOCUS immunity from now on :p   Kind regards to you all,   PS: I'll still support the game; I'll whale for Natalys, because reasons.

I am kinda disappointed too! I trained my Hildr since getting her for the next dark ragna, so she can shine and i was baffled her focus didnt work... I thought its a mistake but it wwas just devs cheating.

I am disappointed and heartbroken. I am playing this game for almost 2 years now and this just hurts.

I am kinda happy that im not the only one though.

I like your first post MN. Some abilities may have consequences that the devs didn't see coming or something like that, but to not allow a child's ability for SPECIFICALLY what it was intended is... weird. I think you're right that it's their way of creating a need for a new unit instead of just sticking with "old reliable".

    Very much appreciated :)

As of late, Raid bosses and World bosses come wih new immunities (disabling % skill charge or drive charge), and buffs against slides/taps depending on the weather and the mood. I can shrug it off as a way to 'spice things up' to some extent.

My main issue comes from the fact that Focus is a niche - yet powerful - feature that can shine once every blue moons 1) because only 2 units have it, and 2) all the more because it's been disabled during EVERY SINGLE non light RB - I don't remember if Arhat disabled it too, though.

I won't focus too much on this little detail, as I am lucky enough to have a viable team nonetheless, and I am pretty sure I could one shoot her with Bride Hildr if I ignited her. But what made her SPECIAL as a raid specialist has just been taken away just because devs said 'go pull our new banner child or go where the sun doesn't shine'.

Ironically, it creates some uncertainty as to which unit to pull, for it shows they can be either powercrept by other units, or simply rendered obselete because of game mechanics :/

Instead of spending ressources/money, I am more likely to stick to the 'old reliable ENOUGH' instead.

Hi, Micronoodle! We appreciate your feedback regarding Bridal Hildr's performance in the latest Ragna: Break event. Rest assured that we will share your feedback with our Developers. Thank you!

Kind of late to the party on this one.

I agree with all the points made by OP. If anything this kind of tactic makes me NOT want to spend on the banner child. I was already not that excited by her but now that the game is is "soft" forcing me to go with her it makes me wonder how long before the new child gets nerfed or power crept by the next banner child.

I've stated this before but this is the only gacha I've spent money on because of the devs generosity towards the player. While I wouldn't consideryself a whale by any stretch, it makes me not want to spend to get the new child as it is uncertain whether it's a good long term investment.

More importantly I feel like as long as you give us well designed child's that can be used effectively I'd rather spend on a child that has the "assets" that I prefer over forcing me to spend just to beat an event.
