Help: Getting destroyed by Mircalla's death heal

DESTINY CHILD: TIPS - Help: Getting destroyed by Mircalla's death heal image 2

Help, I always get destroyed by Mircalla's death heal. What can I do? I'm trying to get to 10,000,000 damage and get as many mirror pieces as possible (buying tickets to get to top 10% of daily ranks). Currently I range anywhere between 4 and 7.3 million, but I'd like to get to 10 million (like I was with the last both Methusala).   OFFENSE: It feels like my best results are going full glass cannon, using the guide's recommended characters. I end up with a higher total damage, but I die sooner.   DEFENSE: Whenever I try to focus on defense, I survive a little longer but still get destroyed, AND my damage is worse. Things I resort to doing are things like using * Catgirl Neamhain (dispels 2 Death Heals per tap), * got rid of Maat's regen for all allies to use instead Pomona who only heals 5 but can dispel * Using defender Dana to create 5 more barriers * Getting Vampirism by using Lightbeam Mona and defender Hera (it never seems to do anytthing) * Using Babel & Lan Fei to slow down the attacks of the boss, but this just means I die slower   All in all it just seems like as long as I can't heal, I die. My barriers and meager vampirism is never enough to out heal the massive damage the boss does besides Death Heal. Not using healers means I avoid less damage from Death Heal.   I've tried to list my main team deck, and the other alternatives I can use but not sure to. I mean, I'd love to use many more characters, but they won't fit inside the 20 child limit. I've listed my Light Attackers as well, I'm using Sniper Hildr instead of Bridal Hildr because she seems to hit twice per turn. There are some characters I don't want to use, but I still listed them anyway, because they're E-class (they aren't awakened at all, have no access to accessories or soul carta equipment), and there's also a bunch of charactres I have who do not have their skills maxed out (for instance Babel is a +2 uncap, his skills can go to Lv3-10, but I he's only at Lv1-10). I really don't have that much Onyx left, but I can scrimp and save to skill up ONE character you guys recommend (I won't have any more onyx for one character today). I can also evolve ONE more character, I hear that it's best to evolve Debuffers, rather than Supporters, becaues Debuffers need the 60 extra levels to get the AGL needed to make their debuffs land.   Although I haven't optimized my gear yet, this is the type of gear I'm working with it's what I was wearing at the last World Boss of Methuselah. My gear is a little bit better now.   Currently I have four attackers, because Laura isn't strong enough to be one of the 3 attackers yet, but I need to use her anyway because using her gives me a +60% bonus to mirror shards gained to use in the world boss shop. Once she's stronger than the weakest of my 3 attackers (Sniper Hildr), I will kick out the weakest attacker.   Any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm trying to get 10,000,000 damage for the event rewards, and also try to get many of the shop items (especially the cores).   What can I do to get past 10,000,000 damage? Thank you

I can link you a video I made on how I'm tackling the boss, for what it's worth. I'm just a casual player so I won't pretend to know what's best - I can only share what works for me and my thought process.

A few players made suggestions/alternatives/improvements that I listed in a comment as well.

I can say this though - you don't need 4 attackers to get 10 million.

I had a lot of success following your setup in terms of survivability, but my best is only 8 million now. I don't think I'm as strong with you, because you can get to 16 million with just two attackers + Seth's leadership, where I can only get 8 million with 3 attackers & Laura's leadership. Both of my debuffer Luin & Seth are six stars Lv60. Luin is +5 uncaps with skill rank 6 Lv8 giving Debuff Duration 36.4% for 12 sec. My Seth is +4 uncap with skill rank 1 Lv10 giving Debuff Duration +33% for 8 sec, but the leadership gives a permanent Debuff Duration +15%. As you can see, skill wise one is virtually as good as the other except Luin's lasts longer (not an issue since they refresh it with each attack), but what makes them stand out is Seth's leadership ability which is makes him better at debuff duration than Luin. The problem is my damage suffers too much when using Seth's leadership ability, whereas Laura's really gives me more. So without that leadership ability there is no need for me to use Seth, therefore I use debuffer Luin.

Some things I think I should bring up.
You use 2 attackers, I need to use 3 to get the bonus mirror shards from Laura.

You use Seth for Debuff Duration plus his leadership skills, I find better results using Debuffer Luin. I tested it many times, and in the end using Seth for his leadership instead of Laura would reduce my damage by up to 2 million.

Wood Sytry I didn't use. Believe me, I want to, but I don't have the 150,000 Onyx needed to fully awaken her.

I switched my fourth attacker to Maat which now (perhaps because she's in the back row) greatly increases the survivability of the team. Again I always needed Laura there (as a fourth attacker) for the +60% mirror shards, but now that she's 6-stars & Lv39 I think she's strong enough to take one of the 3 attacker positions.

I'm still not sure what else I can do to increase my damage except move around some gear, level up Laura to Lv60, and increase skill rank for attacker Aria. You make it look so easy, but many of my debuffers are not even 6-stars. Again it really helped a lot, thank you.

Replace these childs Dreamer Saturn, Dana, and Neptune and use Baset tap only (4 hits + blind)you should unlucke her skills and fully awaken her. Nittri tap only (removes one buff)and make her you leader just have her on the bottom line, don't need to invest in her. Neo Davi slide only (blind). You should switch out catgirl with Pantheon. Babel is better than Lan Fei, you need to invest in one or both to get to the point that the boss never use the drive in the future wb. Also try Maat instead of Pomona, either one should be on the bottom row. Try to give Hp and Def SC to all Frontline childs if not at least either hp or def SC.

I agree with you, but I think his best attackers option should be:
Aria, Light Madfet and Laura (Laura for points).

The reason is because the others seem without skill up or enough lv, so is better if he use what he have stronger for now.

I don't think that his Mafdet is skilled up if not why is he not using his highest uncap attacker? but if he does It would be a logical choice. It's a good thing that you point this out 🙂

I actually did try using Light Mafdet for 2 attempts, she is 6-stars +4 uncap, fully skilled out...and she did less than Sniper Hildr who isn't even 6-stars. I'll try using her again later, but I'm not sure what is up with that as I really thought she would be the superior choice. It was something like 300,000 Light Mafdet, 1,000,000 for Sniper Hildr.

    I'll try testing again later.

You guys were right! Dogmatic Mafdet was better than Actress Saturn in my casee!

Ok, after a bunch of testing Dogmatic Mafdet was better than Actress Saturn, and it's best if Mafdet has skill set as S not T.

Also Aria was better when her skills were set as TS, as opposed to just being blank. Thank you! My best record so far is 9,135,000! Almost 10 million!

If Mars dies among the first, she might be better off moved to the back row. How's your Mammon or Athena?

  • Chris P Bacon LV.6 Nomad May 11, 2021, 11:12 AM

Mars no longer dies, survivability is up now that I've brought Maat healing people. Putting her in the back row with Pomona really helped. I'm now able to do battles where only one or two people die, and I'm very happy about that!
Mammon and Athena are both 5 stars, but Mammon is fully awakened but Athena is not.

Don't know how helpful this is, but I ran into that problem with a fully equipped Maat. So I changed her gear to be a little weaker, and hit that fine line where death heal didn't do enough to kill anyone, and got their health back after the effect was over. I got rid of Pomona, because her instant heal made them drop like flies.

This is the best advice on this page in my opinion.

It's become clear for my set up that Maat is needed, and while I have her up I noticed the death heal is very short. Barrier is also key so I have so I have Mars tanking, and Lovey Dovey Sytry as my 2nd drive skill.

Lowering Maat's ATK and CRT just might further increase my party's survival rate, as sometimes the boss will either not kill anyone, or kill some of my members.

I've also been thinking of bringing it a unit to slow down Mircalla but I honestly don't want to exchange any units at this point.

Maybe try iphis so your debuffs land consistently and lan fei to stop the drive. Then put maat back in. Her drive is the real danger

Here's the team that I use. The best advice I can give you is that Neptune was causing my peeps to die constantly because of her instant heal. You MAY be having the same problem with Pamona. Since I got rid of her Mars and Maat have been enough to keep the team alive. I usually lose a person or two, but my front row stopped being decimated.

I think the BIGGEST problem you have is that a lot of your World Boss staples are not evolved. Sytry, Werewolf, Navi, Sunbeach Mona, and Midas all need to be evolved and leveled up to 60. Takes a lot of resources, but it HAS to be done so they can go in the front row, and your elemental WB units (who don't need to be evolved) can be placed in the back.

I know it's frustrating to have one WB where your doing over 10 Mil in damage and then fall off on the next one, but it happens. Just level up those WB staples for the front row and you'll be good to go after that.
