90% of using Ignition properly is being efficient with your core mats. Make sure you know in advance what you want. I'd recommend to first try getting a 6-hit-slide attacker ready for each element so you have some proper damage for WB and can oneshot Ragna. If you haven't gone for any yet I'd recommend Mafdet (Water), Bathory (Fire), Gunslinger Hildr (Light), Ayane (Wood) and Ophois (Dark, comes in 2 weeks). For maximum usefulness something like AMP ATK + AMP CRT + random should be used, as it allows you to stay useful in most modes. For PvP things are a bit different as you often want AMP DEF as a base, but that's mostly minmaxing and makes it difficult to for example oneshot Ragna. If you have at least 1 attacker ready for each element focus on utility units that are useful in many modes/regularly, such as Thisbe, Light WW, Midas, Sytry (honestly all of them are useful) and similar childs that get a huge benefit out of Ignition (can be less picky on cores there as well - some damage for debuffers can be nice, but mostly extra survivability with AMP DEF/HP is all you need for non-attackers).
I won't go into too much detail on PvP or what the stats do as there are already enough other guides here for that. That being said: Ignition came too early, please bring Kiwami and Endless Duel...
I'm using Rusalka 60+0 and the Slide CD reduction paired with debuff immunity is honestly all I need. I'd give her a try in Thisbe's place, survivability shouldn't be too much of an issue, especially with the Boss targeting highest HP with his tap and slide, making damage distribution very even. Try Rusalka as lead, give Bath the Carta from last time or the new one if available (having her permatap then) and see if that helps...good luck. :)[EVENT] One Shot, One Kill 22
Just some info for the future, but occasionally the PvP ranking doesn't update everytime you check it if the intervals in between are too short, so I assume you already checked it within ~10 minutes of that screenshot or so, as also indicated by your name not being in the list despite having more points than the player on rank 100. I'm hoping for the best, but it's definitely possible somebody still got more points than you and you simply didn't see it and end up being 101 or 102...fingers crossed.Proud to have made it to TOP 100 in PvP. Here’s my winning team 3
Thanks for the reply and sorry if I wasn't clear in what I mean, but I was asking about the Season ranking...if I'm only like 200m behind Top 1% that's easy enough to go for, but if it's like 1.5 billion away I'd see no reason to excessively rebuy tickets. =)
Can only see Top 100 in the Season ranking after all, so I'd like to have a rough idea where the border between Top 1% and 2% is - the lower, the better.^^
While I agree that jumping to the next opponent regardless of the result of a fight would help in this specific case the game itself has no way of analyzing teamcomps and such, making teampower the only way for it to judge how 'strong' an opponent might be, so from that point of view it makes sense to repeat the fight, as technically you're made to fight the 'weakest' and thus 'easiest' opponent again. Looking at it like this I rather wonder why there even is an option to wait for multiple losses unless you try to intentionally demote yourself...Configuring Devil Rumble Auto Battle 6
With your whole front row +6 you should be capable of surviving without Pomona. Obviously Midas would be better than Persephone, but I assume you use her due to low uncaps/skill levels on him. Apart from that the drive order seems a bit off. Fever gives you very little this WB (or rather even less than usually^^), so even if you hit 3 fevers with Naias it's pure luck which unit isn't poisoned and thus hits, so I'd rather go for reliable damage by using Navi as first drive and light WW as second. Thanks to Navi's leader skill those debuffs stick a lot easier, even at low uncaps. With Pomona dealing nearly 0 damage even a low uncap wood attacker would be a solid replacement for her, otherwise something such as Brownie or Durandal should work as well.
If you mean whether it works the same as ATK and more Crit automatically means more heal then no, but you can critically heal, resulting in a heal for 150% of the normal value if I remember correctly - and obviously more crit gear means a higher chance to crit. Works for both, flat heal as well as regen.Good equipment for ruffian Midas. 5
If you intend to use him in PvP he's getting a bit of a resurgence paired with Eve these days. In that case you usually try to gear him in a way that gives him and Dana highest Atk so that Eve pretty much never gets targeted by enemy skills. Once you got to that spot you just try to make him as beefy as possible.
If you don't care too much about that minmaxing stuff you can just follow what Ravenous said above.
Picked Light for Neptune/Cleo/Sytry. Got Charlotte.
Picked Fire for Student Eve in the future, but would be fine with Mona or Party Medb as well.
Picked Dark for Banshee in the future, but Saturn/Mars/Maat would be okay as well.
No major need for the other elements in my case, but I don't think there's a "wrong" choice anyway.
Short answer: yes, I am (though apparently that shouldn't mean much according to your experience).
Longer answer: while I might surely step a bit shorter during Christmas time the daily login is a given plus the year-end schedule makes it seem like Mystery Transfer Student Eve isn't coming all tooooo soon (I focus on PvP and making a decision between her and Neptune would've been rough xP), so motivation is high. I haven't made plans years ahead of course, but you're unlikely to see me quit in the near future unless SHIFT UP fucks up big time. x)
While I understand where you're coming from I didn't point this out to say "omg, Reika is lying, everyone beware!" but rather to make sure that not everybody jumps into PvP blindly now, just reading the headline and thinking "easy enough, I can do that too". Even with full auto it takes a certain bit of dedication and scheduling to keep up and Reika made her point by emphasizing that the important part is to show f2p players that they can beat the whale teams.
And a bit offtopic, but Reika is a constitution in this community, so I appreciate the post in general. Whatever she posts tends to reach more people than if somebody else were to do it, so if this motivates some people to think about PvP a bit more, eventually tinker with their own teams a bit and gain some motivation to give it a try? Hell, that's worth being wrong about a handful of resets imo - in that case she wouldn't be Top 20, but still Top 100 for sure, which is impressive enough, so well worth the share.
Oh yeah, you had that Naias team last week, didn't you? Did you go full auto with that as well? Incredibly annoying to play against - and dangerous, if RNG ever decides to slow 4 or even 5 of your childs... >.<
Thanks for the post either way. With Bath uncaps being a minor thing for now PvP should indeed be possible with the rest of your team being fully made up of childs from the Standard Pool, though I'm not sure how long that'll hold up, so wise to make use of it while it lasts.
Good luck still. :)
What do you mean when you say "with nothing spent"? Sounds a bit misleading, because 137 matches shouldn't be possible at this point of the week if you didn't buy any tickets - assuming that's what you're referring to.
That being said: good job on the placement, especially full auto. Not sure if you need the advice or not, but if you want to buy tickets I'd rather do so closer to the end of the PvP week to make better use of the extra points you get for winning against people with a higher score than your own - can sum up to a surprising amount of additional points over 7 days and makes it easier to maybe jump that one reward bracket higher with less investment. Also makes it easier to see what placement seems realistic, as too many losses early on might eat too many crystals to make up for. :)
Last but not least: please stick to Top 100 for a while, your comp is a lovely source of easy points.^^
Well, I wanna be honest: it's damn tiring and I only went a bit deeper than usually because of the Rumble Challenge - next week's ranking will be different. >.< Still, if you have the time PvP can be rather worthwhile - and the 100 matches needed to hold Plat V aren't all that hard to get really.
As for my lineup: it's rather simple. I use the one in the screenshot for most things and it does a solid job - especially the crit or solo dps teams are rather safe to fight against. Mirror matches and cleanse can be annoying, so for those I exchange Eve and Jupiter with Lan Fei and Bast. I avoid Moa stall, but with the small amount of people having high uncap Moa that's no problem.
Nothing special really, you will see that from quite a few people in Plat V/Top 100, but it works well, so no reason to reinvent the wheel. x)
As an addition to your question: you can always check the rewards you get from PvP by simply clicking the "League Rewards" button at the bottom of the PvP screen. If you find the time it can really be worth it and with events like the Rumble Challenge now you might have a little incentive to buy tickets and aim for more or at least climb a bit. :) Here's a screenshot of the gold/plat rewards as well as Top 100, if you ever feel like trying it.
Apart from that I think everything has been listed above, so good luck farming and saving. =)
Yeah, that seems to be a decent motivation for many people, the field is a fair bit closer together than it'd usually be at this point of the week.
As for your issue with perfect drives: personally I only know that from when I've kept the game permarunning for a longer time, like during Ragna or farming Hot Time. I'm not sure about your settings, but some people say it helps them to turn off Live2D Motion (and eventually play on low res as well, but mostly the Motion), so if you haven't done so it might be worth trying at least.
That being said: good luck still and thanks for the feedback. :)
That we do indeed. Not sure where you're from and thus how late it is for you, but you've been a reliable source of nighttime raids to blow my last tickets on before sleeping, so thanks for that. xD
And I was just curious - sounded like you were going to ask if we hadn't been already, lol. :P
I'm not sure how much time and effort you intend to put in, but I think both teams should definitely be able to get you beyond Gold League, so fingers crossed for your climb. :)
If you were referring to me with the second part of my username instead of the first it might sound familiar - or at least you should find it in your friend list. x) I only follow in-game friends here on Moot, so in case of doubt that's an easy way to check as well.^^
Any specific reason for asking?
I'd say that depends on what comps you're playing against right now as I'd assume that still differs a bit from league to league. If you feel like you're doing fine with your current team there's no reason for any switching to begin with. Speaking from how I experience it in Plat V/Top 100: Olga is barely used anymore and DoTs on silenced units became way less scary since Bathory + plenty of people still use Central Fiction as their Carta due to the massive HP/DEF buff, so silence is way too unreliable. Again though: if Olga works for you there's no reason to swap right now - or if you want to you might also consider something stall-ish, replacing your Eve instead of your Olga.
As for Bathory: you shouldn't worry about her uncaps all too much. While it gives her that extra bit of raw stats and survivability the increase in skill damage is more or less neglectable - it's not many, but you'll even find people in Top 100 only running her at something around +1 - +3, so she should be totally viable. Either way you can hardly do anything wrong with putting her into your team, as DoT units like Eve and Jupiter are still popular and Bathory herself has a DoT as well, so yeah...
If you're afraid of trying some things in actual Rumble it can't hurt to take some people from your friend list and do some test matches against them - assuming you know some of the teams being used. This works only once a day of course, but still might give you a rough indicator regarding survivability of Bathory and other concerns you might have.
I invested stupid amounts of crystals into Bathory because she was the unit I've been saving for, so happy to find some additional use for her. Did my first tries during the last 2 hours and while at first I never even got to a 3rd fever thanks to Cleo and/or Lisa dying a bit of tinkering with gear and Cartas brought improvements already. Had no run with triple Bathory debuff yet, but still managed to hit Rank 84 with my last try. That probably won't be enough to stay Top 100 until the end of Ragna, but it's enough motivation to keep it up - and doing a fever with more than 1m damage feels great as well.^^
So while probably unintentional thanks again for the motivational post and good luck to you for the rest of Ragna as well. =)
Thanks for the feedback. The two things I was (or am much rather) worried about are indeed the focus proc chance on Cleo and the survivability of both, her and Lisa, seeing as despite Rita's low damage they're both rather squishy and Lisa's heal is rather low.
Lisa still lvl1, so need to do some powerleveling during Hot Time, but apart from that I'll give it a try I guess - only with the Bathory version, not Aria. Of course that means "only" three focus procs, but I'm not sure whether the need for Bathory debuffs to land actually makes this harder or not...shall find out soon I guess.^^
Also, thanks for the motivation - and please, don't write about 2.6m runs when talking to somebody who mostly goes full auto on Ragna...it hurts. x')
Feels like this thread is most appropriate for asking, so: do you intend to give it another try in the (near) future? Now that things are set to a certain degree I'm curious how you're doing right now and if at least holding Plat V is possible...if you have a moment a short reply would be appreciated. :)Full Auto Plat 5 Top 100 mini update! 7
Well, your comp is only running one source of damage to begin with, so I'd imagine having that one countered hurts quite a bit. With Hestia still being somewhat bleedy I think Nine would be the best against her indeed, but unlike Bathory, who already changes so much with only her leader skill, Nine would need a few uncaps I'd assume and not many people went for that. I feel the matchups with Bathory slowly becoming more, though so far every list still has at least 2 opponents without her, but those that do not use her (stall excluded) are a breeze to play against now - it's really amazing. When next week begins I might try some kind of aggressive crit comp against to see how that works, but as it's mostly tappers to be used for that it's suboptimal for auto use as well, so can't give any hints for now. :/
I hope for the rest of the week you'll still manage to avoid her, as it'd be nice to reward this effort of yours with a Top 100 spot at least once, so fingers crossed for that at least and thanks again for your updates. =)
A good read yet again - and a surprising one at that. Assuming that a fair share of your "favorite opponents" fall off with the introduction of Bathory I wonder how you will do over the next couple of days, but one way or the other you should at least have Plat V secured for another week, which is pretty impressive in itself. FIghting against you (with your favorite comp x)) has never been a problem, so I wonder how much different the AI handles that comp to make it such a reliable win for you. Either way: grats yet again - hoping for another update next week, when Bathory has begun to settle down and you won't be able to avoid her so easily. =)Full Auto Plat 5 Top 100 mini update! 7
